THE role women played during the Second World War is to feature in a forthcoming talk being held in Newquay for charity.
The Lady Time Traveller will be staged at the Kilbirnie Hotel in aid of The Friends of Newquay Hospital on Tuesday, January 28 between 10am and 12pm.
The presentation is being organised to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day.
Andrea Hall from the Friends said: “These women were hard working, quick to picking up new skills and really to do every job needed to keep the armed forces equipped and the home fires burning whilst the men were away at war.
“Women’s roles would never be the same again after the war.”
The entrance is £5. Parking and refreshments available. A raffle will be held.
