A ROAD near Roche was closed yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, April 23) after a lorry left the road and ended up flipped onto its side and partially into a river.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Roche Road, near Carbis Wharf, just before midday.
The road, which is between Roche and Bugle, was closed during Wednesday afternoon while the lorry was being recovered.
The driver of the HGV was uninjured in the single vehicle incident and the road was reopened later that day.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “Police were called at 11.55am yesterday, April 23, following a single-vehicle collision at Roche.
“An HGV left the road and ended up on its side, partially in a river.
“The driver was not injured. Road closures were put in place – from Roche to Bugle.”
