The Driftwood Spars at Trevaunance Cove, St Agnes, will host its annual autumn beer and music gathering from October 25 to 27.

Entry is free and all are welcome in from the cold for seasonal brews, heart-warming food, foot-stomping live music and the welcoming embrace of a cosy community pub.

This year’s event is named Lou-Lapalooza in honour of landlady Louise Treseder, who is currently seeking a new owner for the historic brew-pub.

Shenanigans kick off with six-piece band Black Friday, described as “an unstoppable mix of high-energy, home-brewed folk-punk and Celtic tunes”.

On Saturday, traditional Cornish songs and shanties will be belted out by the Aggie Boys Choir, followed by The Mighty Howlers with their rich, punchy sound spanning various influences including rockabilly and blues.

Finally, Jenna Witts will provide the soundtrack to a soulful Sunday lunch session with her blend of folk and country, inspired by life on the South West coast.

A guest beer bar will feature in-house brews and a curated selection from the likes of Harbour, Atlantic, Pipeline, Bluntrock, Firebrand and Mason Brewing. Head brewer Tim Lawrence recommends Polberro, made with local wild hops, a fresh batch of Irish stout and a specially brewed nine per cent Belgian Triple.

Chef Tom Bennetts and his team will be showcasing local produce, serving seasonal specials alongside hearty pub classics - table bookings are recommended.

Outside, converted shipping container The Crib Shack will be open (weather dependent) and serving a warming array of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, including luxury hot chocolates.
