CHBN, Truro’s Hospital and Community Radio, held an online silent auction during December and raised over £900 for the charity’s coffers. 

More than 70 lots were donated by local businesses, individuals and volunteers and subject to three weeks of bidding.

There were arts and crafts, books, toys, entertainment, vouchers, hampers, household items and more.  

 Volunteer and presenter Jean Main-Reade said: “Our silent auction was a heartwarming success, both from the financial point of view and the community connection.  

“CHBN serves and depends on Truro’s community. It did not disappoint. The station’s volunteers would like to thank everyone who donated to and bought from the auction.”
