Residential properties with potential in the Penzance area sold at prices well above their freehold guides.
They were among 177 lots in the first sale of 2025 by Clive Emson Land and Property Auctioneers.
A semi-detached two-bedroom house in Mounts Bay Road, Penzance, fetched £180,000 against its freehold guide of £160,000 plus.
Auctioneer David Henwood said: “The new owner has acquired a well-proportioned accommodation over two floors. After a comprehensive programme of improvement works, it will be suitable for owner-occupation, resale or letting.”
The house was auctioned in arrangement with MAP Estate Agents.
In Newlyn, a character cottage with two bedrooms in The Fradgan sold for £154,000.

It was auctioned in arrangement with Stacey Mann Estate Agents and had a freehold guide of £150,000.
Higher Carvossa Bungalow, at Blowing House Hill, Ludgvan, was sold for £239,000. There was strong bidding for the detached two-bedroom property, which had a freehold guide of £140,000 plus.
