PROBUS enjoyed a week-long programme of fun events and activities which culminated with the village’s carnival.

The carnival, which made its long-awaited return last year, saw large crowds line the streets to watch the vibrant procession, with organisers and those taking part in the parade ensuring that all visitors had an entertaining evening.

The parade is the climax to Probus Fun Week which provides an opportunity to bring the local community closer together through hosting a range of inclusive events for friends and family to take part in throughout the week.

There was plenty to do on each day for children and adults alike, including family prize bingo, carnival afterparty, an Olympic and mini explorers treasure hunt, it’s knockout tournaments, board game night, Probus got talent, kids sports and fun day.

Each afternoon the community could enjoy a 100m waterslide and spend their evenings listening to music provided by the likes of Ritzy Belles, Keskorra & Friends and Still Dizzy.

Just as they did last year, Probus Comrades Club and the Hawkins Arms Pub faced each other in a quiz night, with the latter coming out on top this time round.
