A popular Summercourt pub has been added to the Michelin guide five months after opening for business.
The Tartan Fox at Carvynick Farm was launched by celebrity chef Adam Handling MBE in June.
The pub, which is located in a 400-year-old Grade II listed building that sits on 30 acres of land, embodies Adam’s approach to zero-waste, modern British food, underpinned by the philosophy of 'Sustainable, local luxury'.
All produce used at the pub is locally sourced from in and around Cornwall, to create the likes of ‘haggis Scotch egg, our brown sauce’, ‘crab cocktail, yellow curry’, ‘hake, beans, chicken butter sauce’, and ‘chicken schnitzel, girolles, truffle emulsion’.
The menu also features elevated versions of much-loved pub classics, such as ‘fish and chips, mushy peas, curry and tartare sauce, ‘smashed beef burger, Cornish gouda, truffle mayo, fries’.
Adam said: “I’m super honoured that The Tartan Fox has been included in the Michelin Guide, especially having only been open for just under five months.
“Even more so, I’m really proud that it’s somewhere in Cornwall.
“It’s the most incredible place. There are so many amazing restaurants and venues in Cornwall and I’m very proud to be a part of it.”
