POLICE have warned motorists to keep their vehicles secure in Newquay after two cars were reportedly stolen.
Inspector Steve Johnson stated that the vehicles were targeted after they were left “insecure”.
He said: “We have had a couple of vehicle thefts, which is out of the ordinary for Newquay, but they appear to have been insecure.
“This type of crime in Newquay is normally relatively low. I would encourage people to ensure their vehicles are properly secured with anything valuable either removed from view or removed completely from the vehicle.”
“We have also had a few vehicles broken into. They appear to be linked, and enquiries are ongoing.”
