POLICE have released a further image of a man who is wanted in connection to an alleged armed robbery in Penzance.

Officers were called to Sainsburys in Jelbert Way where it was reported that a man in possession of a knife had approached the rear of a security van outside the supermarket and taken bags of cash from the security guard on Thursday, June 20, 10.18am.

He then fled the scene on a moped. He is described as being over 6ft tall and was wearing a black North Face coat, black trousers, a black face covering and a black bike helmet.

The moped was described as small and black and a red and black storage box on the rear.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: “Officers have been carrying out enquiries. We issued two images but we now have a further clearer image of the man we are seeking.

“We are keen to hear from anyone who saw this man or knows who he is and anyone who has seen or knows the location of the moped. Please do not approach but call police immediately.

“We’d also like to hear from anyone who was in the area and has dash cam footage or witnessed the incident. Please do not speculate on social media but report any relevant information to police.”
