Police closed a city centre road when a wanted man was found in Truro city centre.

Officers on patrol became aware of the man’s location in Truro on Thursday afternoon (Sept 19). The man, who was local and in his 30s, was found in The Leats; a road closure was put in place at Castle Street after he climbed on top of an electrical box.

A police negotiator attended and following a period of negotiation, the suspect came down and was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH).

The man was held in police custody.
