Police have made an arrest in connection with an ongoing sexual assault investigation in Camborne.
Officers were notified just after 2am on Sunday, February 2, to reports that a man had sexually assaulted a woman in the Barripper Road and Boundervean Lane area of Camborne.
A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: “Officers attended the area, and a police cordon was put in place at the scene while officers carried out further enquiries.
“The victim is being supported by specially trained officers.
“A man, in his 20s, from Camborne, has been arrested on suspicion of rape. He remains in police custody at this time while enquiries continue.”
DCI Steph Blundell from the Major Crime Investigation Team added: “We would like to thank the local community for their assistance and co-operation during this ongoing investigation.”
