Police are appealing for witnesses following reports of a distraction burglary in Newquay.
It was reported that two men, one in his late teens and one older man, attended an address in Mount Wise claiming to its elderly occupants that work had been arranged for them on Monday, February 12.
One of the men went up onto the roof and a short while later the younger male asked for money, which the homeowner refused to pay, given the price.
Whilst the men were at the property and offering other work, cash, a car key and a car were taken. It is believed the car was towed away.
A 17-year-old male, a 37-year-old female and a 38-year-old male all from Exeter have been arrested on suspicion of dwelling burglary and theft of a motor vehicle and bailed until 16 April.
Officers are appealing to anybody who saw anything suspicious in Mount Wise between 10am and 1pm on February 12 or anyone approached by two males offering work to their property around the same time, to get in touch.
