A plaque to remember popular Cornish comedian Jethro is to be displayed at Camborne Railway Station.
One of Jethro’s most famous jokes was about a passenger being told "this train don't stop Camborne Wednesdays".
Jethro passed away in December 2021 at the age of 71, but he will now have a permanent memorial at the station.
The plaque has been made by Rita Ford of Martin & Sons Ltd, a stonemasons Plymouth, following an idea from Jethro’s friend Ted Hands.
It was unveiled in a private ceremony with his family and local MP George Eustice last week.
The waiting room at the station is about to undergo some refurbishment but the plan is to permanently display the plaque there once that work is completed this summer.
Mr Eustice said: “The idea for the plaque came from Ted Hands, a friend of Jethro who started a social media campaign and approached me last year to ask whether I would help get Network Rail and GWR to adopt the proposal. I thought it was a fabulous idea so was happy to help.
“The plaque itself was donated by Rita Ford of Martin & Sons Ltd, a stonemasons Plymouth and who have done him proud. It's not installed yet, but you can expect to see it in place over the summer, and on a stand in the waiting room before then.”
