PLANS have been put forward to provide two new bus shelters on a main road in St Austell.

If the proposals go forward, the shelters, with seating and living roofs, would be placed on either side of the A391 at Carclaze at the existing bus stops.

At present, bus users have nowhere to shelter from the elements.

People have been asked for their views via a Cornwall Council consultation, with the results due to be published in December.

Meanwhile, at Tywardreath Highway, a bus shelter is planned beside the A390, where improvements would also be made to the bus stop area.
