TRURO residents are invited to view detailed proposals for the Treyew Road redevelopment and to meet the team aiming to regenerate this key area of the town.

Developer Treveth will hold a public consultation on Wednesday, November 27 from 1.30pm to 6.30pm at New County Hall. The drop-in event is an opportunity for the local community to view plans and submit feedback.

Attendees will be able to see display boards giving a sense of what the new neighbourhood could look like, alongside more information about the types of homes that will be coming.

The 2.6ha Treyew Road site will be used to construct in the region of 120 new homes, delivering open-market rent, affordable rent and shared ownership homes. The first phase will consist of 53 homes ranging from one to four bedrooms, and will be prioritised for people who have local connections or are working in the local area.

Emma Rodgers, senior development manager at Treveth, said: “Our first community event took place in September, and was really well attended. It provided us with valuable input that we considered when developing our design proposals for the site, and we’re looking forward to giving local residents the opportunity to view these.

“The community’s feedback will help us positively shape the future of this key site, by improving community spaces and providing new homes for local people.”

The plans and a feedback questionnaire will also be available to view online from Wednesday until Friday, December 13 at www.treveth.co.uk/treyew-rd

Treveth was founded by Cornwall Council in 2019 to improve the quality of rented accommodation and to increase the availability of homes across the rental and shared ownership sectors for those who live, work in or have family connections in the immediate vicinity of its sites.

It currently has over 420 homes in build for local residents in Tolgus, Liskeard, Newquay, and Bodmin, and manages more than 160 properties across six developments and 48 units across 10 commercial sites.

It has also managed and sold properties transferred from Cornwall Council, creating communities including Heathlands View in Bodmin, The Coppers in Tolvaddon and Tregover in Newquay.
