BRITISH Transport Police have confirmed a person has died at Falmouth Docks railway station this afternoon.

Officers were called to Falmouth Docks railway station at around 12.30pm following reports of a medical emergency.

Paramedics also attended, however, a person was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Police say they are not treating the incident as suspicious.

Trains between Falmouth and Truro were cancelled following the incident, but the line reopened again around 3pm.

Traffic and travel monitoring site Inrix later confirmed: "Normal service resumed on Great Western Railway between Truro and Falmouth Docks following earlier emergency services dealing with an incident at Falmouth Docks."
