A NEWQUAY bowling club is inviting people to roll up and give the sport a go.

The West End Bowling Club in Fore Street is welcoming bowlers old and new alike to its opening day of the season on Saturday, April 5, from 1pm and 4pm.

Existing members can sign up, along with those wishing to join the club or simply try bowling for the first time. Shoes and bowls provided.

A club spokesperson said: 'We have enjoyed a big rise in member numbers in recent times and we hope that will continue this year. We hope to see lots of people on the day.

“Whatever the weather, the clubhouse and bar will be open, and snacks are available.”
