NEWQUAY RNLI is challenging people to go the extra mile to help raise funds.

Newquay Lifeboat Station is inviting people to cycle a mile on a cross trainer outside Truscott’s Fish and Chip Shop on Fore Street on Sunday, May 26 between noon and 3pm.

The fundraiser is being held as part of the RNLI’s Mayday campaign throughout May where lifesavers are calling on supporters to join the Mayday Mile and cover at least one mile in any way they chose and raise vital funds.

A spokesperson for Newquay RNLI said: “Come along and join in the RNLI's MayDay challenge.

“Several members of the crew will be there, doing the challenge and talking to visitors about the RNLI's work in Newquay.

“Hopefully Stormy Stan will be there for photo opportunities with the children. All donations will go towards saving lives at sea in the waters around Newquay.”
