PEOPLE are being invited to learn more about Crantock’s history.
Crantock Heritage Group is staging a heritage weekend at St Carantoc Church between June 28 and 30.
Falmouth Gospel Choir will be performing a concert at the church on June 28 at 6pm.
A glass of wine and nibbles will be served ahead of the performance.
People can learn about the church and talk to experts about the input of architect Edmund Sedding and the wood carvings undertaken by the Pinwill sisters on June 29 and 30 between 10am and noon.
A church existed on the site before the Norman Conquest dating from the time of St Carantoc in the 6th century. The earliest features of the existing church are Norman.
There will be a bell ringing demonstration and an exploration of the graveyard to learn about some of the families who lived in Crantock on June 29 and 30 between 2pm and 3.30pm.
Morning coffee and cream teas will be available in the afternoon.
Dr Ben Dobson will be hosting a Crantock Story Cafe titled Joseph King Martyn of Penpol on June 30 at 6pm.
