THE Rotary Clubs of Penzance and Mounts Bay have announced their consolidation into a single, unified, more capable Club.

This merger brings together a wealth of experience, skills, and passion for service, to help further enhance the Rotary’s ability to support and serve the local community.

The decision to consolidate reflects a shared commitment to increasing Rotary’s positive impact not only in Penzance but beyond.

A spokesperson for the Rotary Club of Mounts Bay said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to strengthen our collective efforts and broaden our reach.”

President of the newly combined club, Nigel Clark said: “We welcome our colleagues from Mounts Bay with open arms and look forward to working as one to uphold the values of ‘Service Above Self'.”

The club will continue to hold weekly social meetings, run the Rotary Charity Shop in Penzance, award grants to worthwhile local causes, and organise events and initiatives that contribute to the wellbeing of the community.

By joining forces, the current members will be able to collaborate more effectively on meaningful projects, build on the past successes, and ensure a vibrant future for 'Penzance Rotary with Mounts Bay,' supporting deserving causes across West Penwith.

Members meet for social lunches at the Queen’s Hotel on Friday lunchtimes. Those interested in joining up with like minded people to serve the community, email [email protected]
