Staff and students from Year 11 at Truro’s Penair School attended the end-of-year prom at Tregenna Castle in St Ives on July 11. The evening was enjoyed by 180 students, and began with welcome mocktails and a two-course meal, followed by a DJ set.
Year 11 student welfare officer Hannah Thomas said staff, students and parents had all pitched in to ensure the cohort enjoyed their final hurrah.
“Everyone looked fantastic,” she said, “and the dancefloor was packed from the moment the DJ started playing until the last song - Mr Brightside, with staff and students singing their hearts out.
“I have had comments from parents and staff to say how brilliant the night was, and how amazing all the students were. We will miss them, and we wish them all the luck in the world with their next chapters.”
