Everyone’s favourite bear has taken a seat in Land’s End as part of Paddington Visits, a trail spanning the UK and Ireland.

A statue was unveiled on Monday, depicting Paddington Bear tucking into a marmalade sandwich next to the famous fingerpost at Land’s End.

It’s one of 23 figures celebrate the forthcoming release of ‘Paddington In Peru’, due for release in cinemas on November 8.

Other locations include John O’Groats, Westport Co. Mayo and Newbury, hometown of Paddington creator Michael Bond.

The statue was an instant hit with fans of all ages, who queued to take a pew and a selfie with the much-loved literary figure.
