ATTENDING the recent Cornish Pirates versus Royal Navy game played at the Mennaye Field, the ‘A Band of Brothers’ Cornwall group raised over £400 for the charity.

Celebrating its tenth anniversary, the charity aims to connect, inspire, and train local male volunteers to work with the most disadvantaged and most self-destructing young men aged 18-25.

Through rites of passage and mentoring it helps young men find out what it takes to be a man in current times and build a life away from crime with meaning, purpose and connection.

Thurstan Crockett, the charity’s regional lead south west commented: “We had a great evening, with lots of good conversations with potential mentors, real interest from many people in the work we do mentoring young men, and more than £400 raised.

“A huge thank you to everyone we spoke to or who gave us a donation - we really appreciate your support; and we hope to be back soon!”

“What a great club, set of supporters, and atmosphere you have!”
