A group formulating a plan for Newquay’s future is looking for new members. 

The Newquay Town Team is particularly looking for people who have administration and project management skills, bid writing expertise and media knowledge. 

Shirley Williams, from the town team, said: “2024 is expected to be a busy year for the Newquay Town Team as we have some money to spend across the town. 

“We are, therefore, hoping to build up the town team, looking for businesses and residents who can help with the workload of the task and finish working parties. 

“Whatever your interest, whether it be historical conservation, coastline recording, environmental conservation, public realm/architectural change, events, young people, tourism, improving the retail offering, green space or nature expansion, we have a project that you might wish to get involved with. 

“The main need is some time and a willingness to get involved but you may be able to add further benefit to our team if you can offer administration and project management skills; bid writing expertise; communications and media knowledge; a background in architecture/building works; or retail knowledge.
