A NEWQUAY heritage charity is all set to stage one of the biggest events in its calendar. 

Trenance Cottages will be welcoming visitors to Fun in the Park on Sunday, June 9, from 11am until 4pm.

One of the highlights will be the return of St Dennis Ukulele Band who enjoyed a rousing debut at the funday last year.

Other attractions include an appearance by the ever-popular Oll an Gwella singers, fairground rides, children's games, a barbecue, sales stalls and the popular duck races along the stream in Trenance Gardens during the afternoon.

A spokesperson for the cottages said: “It's always a great day enjoyed by hundreds of people. Fingers crossed for the weather and we look forward to seeing you all there.”
