A Newquay health food shop has staged a social run to help raise more than £100 for charity.

Sprout Health Foods staged a 5k in aid of Dementia Adventure towards its mission to provide a more active and fulfilled life for everyone living with the syndrome.

The event, which was held in conjunction with sponsors Ponnek running apparel and Foundation Coffee Roasters, was attended by runners, pram-pushers, children and pet dogs, taking in a circuit of Fistral Beach, beginning and ending at the Sprout café courtyard.

Post run coffee and cake proceeds together with money raised from a prize raffle helped generate the funds.

Sebastian from Sprout said: “It was such an awesome turn out, great vibes during the event too, and all while raising money for a charity that is very dear to us.

“Details of future social runs will be released on Sprout social media. Everyone is welcome to join in these fun, social meet ups.”
