THE rich history and vibrant culture of the iconic Newquay Harbour is to be celebrated.
Newquay Harbour Festival will be returning for its third year on Saturday, September 7, from 10am to 9pm.
The Boathouse is teaming up with Newquay BID, Cornwall Shop Small, and Newquay Farmers Market to bring the vibrant event to life.
The day will start with a Harbour Rockpool Ramble with Mr FT and a beach clean sponsored by Sharp’s Brewery.
The marquee will feature a lineup of cooking demonstrations by talented Cornish chefs, showcasing locally sourced seafood.
An interactive gin flavouring sessions will be staged in the evening and people will also be able to indulge in a wine tasting experience.
There will be live music throughout the day, including shanties from The Clams, Newquay Rowing Club Singers, and the newly formed Harbour Rats Shanty Band.

“From traditional Cornish dishes to international flavours, you'll embark on a gastronomical journey and learn new recipes that you can try out at home.
“The sound of music will fill the air as local bands and artists take to the stage, creating a lively and vibrant atmosphere throughout the day. From foot-tapping folk tunes to energising rock beats, there will be something to suit every musical taste.
“As always, the street food kitchens at The Boathouse will be serving up delicious eats from around the globe and the bar will be well stock to keep everyone refreshed.
“As the evening sets in, unwind with the smooth sounds of a jazz trio while enjoying delicious street food and maybe even a cocktail or two.
