NEWQUAY AFC is calling for people to respect their facilities after its clubhouse roof was vandalised.
Two skateboarders reportedly caused damage riding around the clubhouse roof at the Mount Wise stadium on the afternoon of Tuesday, October 15.
The incident has been reported to the police.
A spokesperson for Newquay AFC said: “Please respect our facilities.
“We had some unexpected visitors at Mount Wise who decided to use our clubhouse roof for activities better suited to other areas of Newquay.
“We want to remind everyone that there is a reason our town has a fantastic skate park. Please use it.
“A special thanks goes out to those involved for the damage caused to our roof due to their reckless behaviour.
“If anyone has any information, please contact the police or email us directly.
“Let’s keep the fun where it belongs and avoid further damage to our community spaces.”
A police spokesperson said: “An officer attended the football club following a call reporting skaters on the roof. We’re waiting to hear back from the club regards damage.”
