A natural sustainable fashion brand based in Newquay was presented with the most prestigious business accolade in the country on Thursday.
Celtic & Co was awarded its first King’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade.
The official presentation took place at the company’s factory in Newquay, where they craft their renowned British sheepskin boots and slippers.
Managing director Zoe Bray received the award from the Lord Lieutenant of Cornwall, Col Sir Edward Bolitho.
Zoe said: “The presentation has been a wonderful chance for the whole company to come together and celebrate our achievements over the past couple of years, and to be recognised for our international trade efforts where we saw significant growth in the US, Australia, Canada and Germany.
“It’s exciting to see reactions to our growing range from around the world, where customers are really engaging with our use of more natural fibres and British design.”
The King’s Awards for Enterprise was previously known as The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise, which Celtic & Co had won previously in 2018 and 2020.
The new name reflects His Majesty The King’s desire to continue HM Queen Elizabeth II’s legacy by recognising outstanding UK businesses.
The award celebrates the success of businesses which lead the way with pioneering products or services.
