A NEW upcoming Newquay band is looking to drum up new members.
Newquay Samba Band hopes to attract people of all ages and abilities.
Newquay Samba Band Leader Jamie Edwards said: “Newquay Samba Band is looking for anyone who would be interested in joining the new upcoming band.
“This will be an opportunity for all ages and all abilities to come and join either because they already have experience as a musician and would like to take it further, or if they would like to try something new.
“It is also a bonus for the local community as they will have more entertainment out on the streets of Newquay.
“Rehearsals will be on an evening, once a week, as well as the band performing at occasional carnivals and other venues.
“Newquay Samba Band has social media accounts, so if anyone would be interested in coming to have a go, please give them a follow and feel free to get in touch via direct message.

“There is also an ongoing fundraiser, in which all the money raised will go towards the purchase of equipment to enhance the band.”
