NEWQUAY Library has “booked in” a new initiative to support readers.
A free home delivery service has been launched aimed at bringing books directly to the doors of residents who may find it difficult to visit the library.
The service is run by dedicated home library volunteers who will deliver books based on individual preferences.
A library spokesperson said: “Whether it’s due to limited mobility, health issues, or other circumstances, this service ensures that more members of the community can continue to enjoy their favourite reads.
“Whether you're into gripping thrillers, heartwarming romances, or educational non-fiction, Newquay Library is ready to help keep you connected to the world of reading.
Councillor Liz Wright, the chair of the Newquay Town Council’s community and tourism committee, which oversees the library, added: "We are committed to breaking down barriers to accessing library resources.
“Our goal is to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to stay engaged with reading, no matter their circumstances."
