St Austell has a new community gym.

C4 Studios is a fitness and dance centre based at Stennack Road in Holmbush that’s been providing activities for all ages over the last five years.

In 2022 funding was secured from Cornwall Community Foundation and The National Lottery to build a community gym that would be inclusive for all.

Angie Smith, director of C4 Studios, is thrilled that the Gym said: “C4 Gym is unique and special. Its intention is to be an unintimidating enviroment, somewhere you can feel comfortable and relaxed without worrying what others think.

“We really hope it will encourage those less confident to come along and have a go.”

With three cardio machines and seven strength machines the equipment is suitable for the beginner or moderate gym participants, great for strength training but not for weightlifting, and suitable for senior citizens.
