Popular areas in Newquay have been enhanced with new benches and picnic tables.
Newquay Town Council has installed new benches at North Quay Hill outside the Red Lion as well as benches and picnic tables at Alexandra Gardens in Porth.
The project was made possible through the Section 106 government grant, a community infrastructure levy, awarded to the town council for the specific purpose of enhancing public spaces.
The old benches from North Quay Hill will be restored and re-homed elsewhere in town as part of its sustainability commitment,
Deputy Mayor Drew Creek said: “We are so fortunate to live in this town.
These improvements aim to provide residents and visitors with comfortable and inviting spaces to enjoy the beauty of Newquay. We believe that by investing in our public areas, we contribute to the health and well-being of our community.”
