TWO apprentices from the same college in Cornwall - and the same business - are celebrating their achievements at the World Skills Plumbing competition.
Elliot Julian secured second place at the annual contest in Manchester, while Dillion Newton claimed third.
Elliot and Dillion both study at Cornwall College St Austell and work for Ryan Nicholls Plumbing and Heating based at Carbis Moor in the Clay Country.
Dan Knight, college curriculum area manager for construction and engineering, said: “This is an incredible accomplishment for Elliot and Dillion. Their success is testament to their skill and commitment, as well as the exceptional teaching and support they receive at Cornwall College.
“Achievements like these not only benefit the students but also inspire their peers and strengthen the reputation of the college’s construction and engineering programmes.”
Elliot said: “I’m so happy to have come second in such a tough competition. It’s been an amazing experience to test my skills at this level and represent the college and my workplace on a national stage.”
Dillion said: “I couldn’t be happier with my work and success, I’m so proud to have come in third place. Competing nationally has been such a rewarding challenge but the competition was tough and tested our knowledge and our abilities.”
