Mounts Bay Academy have congratulated their class of 2024 on achieving a fantastic set of GCSE results.

It has not been the easiest journey, with the challenges of covid and then the ever increasing financial challenges facing schools and yet they have overcome this showing amazing resilience and perseverance.

The Academy expressed their pride over the students’ individual successes, with several students achieving a range of top grades in their subjects.

Special mentions go to Rosie, Zelah, Joby, Joel, Jacob, Georgia and Reggie who all got an impressive amount of grade 8s and 9s as a reward for the hard work and commitment they have shown this year and Rosie, Kyla, Otto, Elowen and Florence for making outstanding progress across the board.

As they leave to continue their education at sixth form colleges locally and further afield, or to embark on apprenticeships, the Academy has wished them huge success in everything they do in the future.

Mounts Bay Academy wrote on their website: “We feel proud and privileged to have played a role in your journey through life and we hope that they will look back on their time at Mounts Bay Academy with a pride in the Academy and the way in which it has prepared them for adult life. We are certainly proud of them.

Academy principal, Mr Royle said: “I would like to congratulate our 2024 cohort. Their hard work, resilience and determination has really paid off.

“These results are the currency that they need to get to the next stage of their educational journey, but they take away far more far more from Mounts Bay – accompanying these excellent results are a range of skills, experiences and passions which will help them to thrive in the adult world.

“It has been an absolute pleasure to work with the class of 2024 and we wish them well as they leave Mounts Bay Academy ready to face the challenges of our ever changing world.”
