Firefighters went to the rescue of a motorist trapped inside a crashed vehicle yesterday (March 14).

Two vehicles had collided at North Country, Redruth, shortly after noon.

A Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service fire engine and rescue tender from Tolvaddon were sent to the scene, where they found one person trapped inside one of the vehicles.

Firefighters freed the occupant and made the scene safe.
