An innovative engagement project has been launched to support Falmouth businesses counteract low-level crime and anti-social behaviour, highlighted as a major concern by 83 per cent of town retailers.

Falmouth Business Improvement District (BID) and Falmouth Town Council have collaborated on Safe & Secure.

New street rangers will be a visual presence throughout the town, along with the rollout of a crime reporting system called Disc - a secure online monitoring system for local businesses to report offences to the police.

This will complement an enhanced CCTV service and monitored control room, and a town link radio system for businesses.
