PLANS have been put forward to bring in more double yellow lines on Trenowah Road in St Austell.
Cornwall Council says it wants to introduce the new parking restrictions to aid traffic movements along the road.
At the same time, the council is proposing to change some parking restrictions on the road from “no waiting 9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday” to “no waiting 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday”.
This change is being put forward to allow on-street parking for residents on a Saturday when the road is less busy with traffic.
The existing restrictions help keep the areas either side of a pedestrian crossing point free from parked cars, improving visibility for people crossing the road.
A public consultation on the proposed changes is running until January 13.
