Thanks to all those that attended the Green Team beach clean on Saturday at Towan beach.
We managed to collect several sacks of waste which would have otherwise ended up in our oceans.
The day was made even more rewarding as local legend Mr FT joined us dressed as a giant lobster.
Thanks also go to Surfers Against Sewage who provided all the sacks, gloves and litter pickers for the clean.
On Sunday my family and I were invited by the mayor of St Ives to their town’s annual feast festival recognising the patron saint of St Ives.
We joined the parade through the town alongside local organisations and community groups.
It was an honour and privilege to attend this wonderful event alongside a number of other mayors from across Cornwall.
It is always great to get the opportunity to spend time with fellow mayors and talk of our mutual challenges and successes.
Last week at full council we welcomed Cllr Towill back to the chamber after a prolonged absence.
It was great to see him back contributing meaningfully to the discussions and I look forward to working with him over the remainder of this term.
Phil Trebilcock: Harbour View
A mostly dry, grey week ahead.
There will possibly be a few showers on Friday, with light winds.
The first gig has been booked for the World Championship to Scillies on March 2.
A fishing boat has been sold and another gone to Wadebridge for maintenance.
The Humpback whale has been off Bedruthan Steps for couple of weeks now, inshore.
Diary date, Sunday, March 2, will be the egg and bacon pie competition. All Welcome.
Saturday night Gilly Le Whyte will be playing at the Rowing Club at 9pm.
Thought for the week: Nothing lasts forever, not even your problems.
