Police have appealed for witnesses to an accident in which an elderly man was seriously injured to come forward.
At around 6.45pm on Sunday (February 19), police were alerted to a road collision on Meneage Street in Helston, at the junction with The Parade.
A green Suzuki estate and a pedestrian were in collision, and the pedestrian, a local man in his 80s, sustained serious injuries.
The vehicle occupants were unharmed and stopped at the scene.
Officers from the Roads Policing Team investigated and the road was closed whilst they worked
Witnesses are asked to contact Devon and Cornwall Police on 101 with information quoting log number 0729 of February 19.
Officers say they would like anyone who may have seen the Suzuki driving or have dashcam footage to come forward.
