Police have identified a man they wanted to speak to in connection with a report of an assault in Truro’s Victoria Square in February. It follows a photo appeal issued by the force yesterday.

The incident happened at approximately 11.45pm on Friday, February 16. A man was knocked unconscious and sustained serious head and facial injuries which required hospital treatment.

Investigating officers released pictures of the man as they believed he might be able to assist with their enquiries.

A police spokesperson said: “Officers would like to thank members of the public for their support.”
