A man has been charged in connection to a serious assault that took place in Camborne on Thursday, November 21.
The incident, which occurred on Pengegon Way, left a man hospitalised after the police received reports of a a serious assault taking place with a weapon.
In a statement released on Saturday, November 23, Devon & Cornwall Police confirmed that officers who visited the location in Camborne on Friday seized a crossbow which is believed to be linked to the incident.
A Devon & Cornwall Police spokesperson said: “A man has been charged in connection to a serious assault in Camborne which occurred on Thursday 21 November.
“The Crown Prosecution Service has authorised a charge of Section 18 causing grievous bodily harm without intent.
“Jason Simmons, aged 56, of Pengegon Way, has been remanded in custody and will appear at Bodmin Magistrates’ Court on Monday 25 November.”
