A man was arrested at a Newquay supermarket after allegedly “causing a disturbance” on Friday (July 12).
Darren Toovey, aged 51, of no fixed abode, has been charged with criminal damage and using threatening or abusive words or behaviour to cause fear of violence following the incident at Sainsbury’s in Alma Place. He is due to appear at Bodmin Magistrates’ Court on Friday, August 2.
A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson confirmed: “Police have charged a man following a reported incident at Sainsbury’s on Alma Place on Friday, July 12. He is due to appear in court on August 2.”
