A man appeared in court on Friday (June 21) in connection with an alleged assault in Penzance.

Cory Middleton, 23, of Commercial Road, Penzance, went before Bodmin Magistrates Court on Friday charged with section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent following an incident in Market Place on Sunday, June 16.

The case has been sent to Truro Crown Court for trial and he was given conditional bail.
