DEVON and Cornwall Police have confirmed that there is currently major delays on the A38 near Saltash following a vehicle fire.

It is reported that representatives from the Cornwall Fire Service, police and highways are in attendance.

As a result, the A38 road between Carkeel roundabout and the onslip after the Industrial Estate in Saltash is currently closed and causing heavy traffic.

Road users have been made aware that there are diversions in place.
