THE infamous low bridge on the old A38 on Goss Moor has seen another incident.

A lorry has collided with the bridge which carries the Par to Newquay railway branchline.

It was reported that the driver of the lorry was unhurt and that the railway was not affected.

A fire and rescue crew from Bodmin attended the incident on Wednesday, July 31, and made the vehicle and scene safe.

Before the route of the A38 was changed several years ago, the bridge was regularly hit by unsuspecting tall vehicles. The road under the bridge is now used by more local traffic.
