A popular live music venue in Newquay is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a special birthday party.
Whiskers in Gover Lane will be getting the celebrations underway with a performance by renowned ska band Imperial Leisure on Friday, May 24 between 8pm and 2am.
Whiskers opened its doors in 2014 as an organic wine and tapas bar. Over the years, it has evolved into a vibrant community space, adapting to the changing tastes and needs of its patrons while maintaining its welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.
The bar has been a venue for countless events, promoting social connection and celebrating the arts.
Whiskers has hosted an array of memorable events throughout its 10 years, including performances by artists such as Newton Faulkner and Natty, live art battles, fundraisers, and gigs by wild duo The Soap Girls.
The venue has also been the backdrop for weddings and countless friendships and romances.
Owners Nicole and Jon Grant invite the community to join them in commemorating a decade of music, community, and unforgettable memories.
Nicole said: “Whiskers has always been about more than just the music and drinks; it’s about community and creating a space where people feel connected.
“We’re excited to celebrate this milestone with everyone who has been part of our journey.”
Jon added: “This celebration is a thank you to our incredible patrons and friends who have supported us over the years. We look forward to many more years of memories and good times.”
