A COLLECTION to help people in need in war-torn Ukraine is being held on Saturday, September 14.

St Austell Lions regularly hold such collections and items particularly requested include new-born baby clothes, nappies, baby food and formula milk, female sanitary products, personal hygiene products, and medical and associated items particularly paracetamols.

The collection will take place between 10am and 11am at the car park of St Mary's Church in St Blazey Gate.

•Meanwhile, another organisation in St Austell is appealing for more collectors.
