ST AUSTELL Leisure Centre will be taking part in Let’s Dance on Sunday, March 2 – a nationwide initiative spearheaded by Angela Rippon CBE.

Three free dance-based activities will be held at the centre on the day – Zumba from 9am to 10am, Dance Fitness from 10.15am to 11.15am and Aerobics from 11.30am to 12.30pm.

Bringing together dance organisations, charities, health professionals, community groups and celebrities, Let’s Dance is all about making dance accessible to everyone.

St Austell is one of seven GLL leisure centres nationwide to be involved and Rebecca Lilley, GLL’s Health and Fitness Hub Manager in Cornwall, is hoping as many people as possible will come along.

“Dancing is a wonderful form of exercise that doesn’t feel like working out in a gym, but has similar physical and mental benefits,” she said.

Booking online or via the Better app opens on February 23.
