POLITICAL leaks are nothing new – but a leak on polling day raised concerns.

The leak wasn’t part of some political manoeuvring or intrigue though as people voted in the General Election on who will next run the country.

The leak came from a South West Water pipe in St Austell.

Workmen fixing the problem had to close off part of Ralelagh Road to traffic.

This led to worries that people with mobility problems might not be able to reach the polling station in the street.

However, the leak was fixed in time and the road was open once again.
